With so many years of experience in the wedding industry, I am well placed to advise you not only on the music at your event but on a wide range of additional services that most DJs have never even considered.

 

The cost of these services depends on various factors, and to explore all the options it really is best that we meet face-to-face to define exactly what it is that you need for your special day. Once that's done, I can tailor my work, very personally, to you.

MUSIC

Your main motivation for hiring will me will, of course, be the music. One of my strengths, tried and tested all over the world, is my ability to read a crowd. Wherever I am, whatever the event, I always fill the dancefloor.  

 

It's not just about the dancefloor, of course. Throughout your wedding day, specific pieces of music may well be required in more places than you think (as you walk down the aisle, for instance, or when you leave the venue at the end of the night), and I have extensive experience tailoring a wide range of musical styles to each of these occasions. MASTER OF CEREMONIES

On top of being a DJ, I am also a fully qualified MC (visit My Standards for details of my qualifications). I do all the planning and preperation for every wedding down to tiny details. I co-ordinate with the other suppliers and ensure that the day runs smoothly and try to take the stress from the bride and bridegroom as much as possible..

 

RECORDING OF THE VOWS

This is a service in which I record your wedding vows during the ceremony, edit the recording, create a short audio file of the poignant moments and mix this file over the instrumental section of your first dance. This has always proved to be hugely popular with newlyweds and their guests - it's unexpected, romantic and often extremely moving.

SPECIALIST LIGHTING

Specialist lighting systems can add liveliness and energy to your party, with advanced technology allowing me to control the speed, pattern, colour and direction of the lights. This means I can always tailor the feel to suit the occasion.

 

Alternatively, you may prefer the simple use of mood lighting to enhance the natural ambience of the venue. It's up to you - I offer packages covering all preferences. 

 

 

VISUAL DISPLAYS

- Your Name On The Wall or Ceiling 

Using special gobo projectors I can project the names/monograms of the bride and groom, and/or the date of the wedding, onto a screen, wall or the dancefloor. This is a simple but incredibly effective touch that will enhance, and truly personalise, your event.

 

- Photo Slideshows

Photo slideshows are a popular way to commemorate the people and places that matter to you as a couple. You might want to use photos from your childhood, the engagement party, holiday snaps, images of close family and friends or (if you're brave!) the Stag & Hen nights. I can even display hot-off-the-press photos from the wedding itself, within minutes of them being taken. This allows guests to catch up on any moments they may have missed during the day.

 

- Video Tributes From Absent Friends

Another popular choice is to screen videos of family or friends unable to attend the wedding. This can be particularly special during the speeches - perhaps having a close family member who wasn’t able to make it sharing a few words via video.

- Music Videos

Much of my music collection I also own on video, and I can arrange for a selection of these music videos to be screened during the disco section of the evening (examples that have proven popular with guests include Michael Jackson's Thriller, Beyoncé's Single Ladies and MC Hammer's You Can't Touch This). These videos can also easily be interspersed with a photo slideshow.

 

VENUE DÉCOR

- Dancefloors

A spectacular-looking dancefloor can provide a stunning centrepiece to your event. Prices vary according to size and materials, of course, but I'd be happy to take you through the various options when we meet. In the past I have provided black or white starlight floors, black-and-white chequered floors and retro LED floors (à la Saturday Night Fever), as well as the more traditional wooden parquet variety.

 

- Backdrops

Backdrops are another straightforward way of enhancing the look of a room, placed for example behind the head table, behind the DJ or even subtly positioned to cover an unsightly feature in the venue such as an unused serving hatch. Backdrops I have previously provided include black starcloths and white/ivory starlight curtains. Again, further details are available on request.

 

PARTY PACK

The Party Pack is a large collection of novelty party items, 150 in total, guaranteed to liven up any party. This bumper selection of masks, hats, inflatable guitars and so on is perfect for encouraging everyone to lose their inhibitions on the dancefloor. The Party Pack can be themed to fit seasonal celebrations such as Christmas, Halloween and Valentine's Day. It can also be reduced in size for smaller events.

 

LAST-MINUTE WEDDINGS

If you are planning a wedding at very short notice or have been let down at the last minute, please do drop me a line as I may be able to help. Whether it's sourcing any of the aforementioned services (backdrops, lighting, dancefloors etc) or stepping in to fill the place of an unreliable DJ who has dropped out unexpectedly, I'm on hand to make sure your day goes ahead as planned. Even if I’m not available myself, I know many excellent DJs to whom I can refer you.
