Bookings

  • How are you different from entertainment companies and DJ agencies?

I have been a professional entertainer for over 20 years and performed at thousands of events during that time.

Anthony Winyard Entertainment is built on my core values of professionalism, reliability and quality. Unlike agencies I offer a host of 'value added services'. Examples include the Event Planner service for clients, an extensive music directory to help clients find music they want included at their event, and an account management service to help clients keep track of what has been arranged, as well as meeting with clients at both the booking stage and just before the actuial wedding day, and being contactable at any stage in the lead-up to the big day to discuss any aspect of the day.

Most clients will deal with someone they like, respect and above all, trust, and this is something that I always remember and value. A very large proportion of my clients come through personal recommendations, and I have regular corporate clients who have used my services over many years.

The level of customer service that I offer in the lead up to the big day surprises most couples as it far exceeds what they were expecting, but because I have performed at so many weddings I am more aware than most of how stressful the planning can be, and therefore how important peace of mind is, especially for the bride, and so therefore anything I can do to give you peace of mind, I will try to do.

In a competitve world, I know that I can never take your custom or recommendations for granted, every client will always be given the same high level of attention and professional service that has gained me the reputation that I have today.

  • In the Yellow Pages there are some much cheaper acts?

As with anything in life you get what you pay for. I have always offered high quality entertainment.

There are very few Brides that will seek the cheapest Wedding Dress they can find, because overall quality and appearance are the important criteria used in looking for just the right dress for most Brides. Surely you would want to apply similar criteria for the evening reception, wouldn't you?

  • PLI insurance and PAT certificates being requested by the venue?

This is quite standard these days, all my equipment is Portable Appliance Tested annually to the current HSE Electricity at Work regulations, and every item has a PAT certificate.

Additionally I'm a member of of both SEDA (South East DJs Association) and NADJ (National Association of DJs) which provides me with £10 million worth of full public liability insurance and also employers liability insurance, I can supply copies upon request.

I also possess a Pro Dub license, which certifies that I can legitimately convert CD music tracks to audio files for playback and use music downloads according to copyright law and that the requisite royalties are paid to the artists involved.

  • How early should I book?

I tend to get booked well in advance and the later you leave it the less chance of availability you'll have.

A booking is only confirmed once the retainer fee has been paid and the signed booking form returned, although you will receive 7 days first refusal from the date you receive a quote from me.

Complete the enquiry form now and I'll let you know my availability ASAP.

If I am booked for your date, I know a few other elite DJs that I can refer you to..

  • Pricing

The prices for the services that I provide depend on various factors. In order to provide you with a price I usually meet with the future bride and groom over a coffee so that I can listen to exactly what you would like for your special day and then tailor my services to your needs.

I am based in Harrow, North-West London but will travel to any part of the UK and Europe and even further if requested. For distances of over 150 miles from the HA3 postcode, accommodation and travel expenses will be included in the quote.

If you need more information, I'm always happy to answer any queries.

  • How can I confirm a booking?

I will email a contract to you which you would sign and return with the 25% retainer fee. The booking is then confirmed.

Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. The booking form that I will send to you includes the invoice which shows the bank details for you to arrange the transfer/BACS payment.

  • How can we be sure you will remember all we have asked for?

The booking confirmation form that I will send to you will detail everything that we agree. If there is any incorrect information on the booking form, please inform me and it will be changed.

When a booking is confirmed I also provide you with various planning forms which can be accessed from the client area of this website. These forms include an Event Timeline, Music Requests, Guest Requests and Detailed Event Planning forms.

You will also be able to check all of your booking details at any time on this booking system and request changes should any of your timings need to be changed for example.

You're welcome to take a look around a sample page of the client area with this dummy booking which shows how the various forms can be used.

When a booking is confirmed you will receive a username and password specifically for your event.

  • Have you received my confirmation/payment?

When I receive your confirmation and payment I will send you an updated invoice showing the outstanding balance and also confirmation that your event has now changed status from "Pending" to "Booked".

If you do NOT receive this email and you have sent through your confirmation and payment please do get in contact.

  • Is your setting up time included in the price?

Yes, I never charge extra for the setting up. The only exception to this is you request the equipment to be setup a few hours prior to the start of my performance.

  • Can we see you perform before we book?

I specialise in weddings and the vast majority of the events that I do are therefore weddings. It is not possible for me to invite people to such an occasion. There are some people that are ok with a stranger attenging their wedding, but the majority are not, and it is not something that I like to ask of my clients.

I always prefer to meet with clients prior to the booking stage and then again close to the actual wedding date to discuss your music preferences and other arrangements. This is best done within a few weeks of the actual big day so that the discussion is still fresh in my mind come the actual day.
